Solos and Ensembles

Each team is eligible to enter solo and or ensemble entries. The number of entries that each team is allowed is determined by the number of participants on the team. The number of entries is 25% of the total team members (rounded to the nearest whole number), or a minimum of four entries. For example, if you are a team of 25 dancers, 25% of 25 is 6.25, which should be rounded down to 6. Only Varsity level dancers are eligible for the solo and ensemble competition. Ensembles can have between two and four dancers.

Soloist are eligible to receive First Team All Conference honors. Ensembles are eligible to receive Second Team All Conference honors. These teams are decided at a mid-day coaches meeting. When all the scores are tabulated, they are listed in order of highest to lowest. The coaches meet and decide where the natural break in scores occurs. Those above the break receive the honor.

Soloist are competing for first, second, and third place awards in their respected conferences. Ensembles will also compete for first, second, and third ensemble awards. Ties will not be broken.
